Ana Buchovskaja-Zamulskienė (b. 1987) is a Lithuanian ballet dancer, teacher, and choreographer. In 2007, she graduated from the Ballet Department of the National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Arts. In 2012–2018 she worked as a ballet soloist at the Klaipėda State Music Theatre. Among her prominent roles at this theatre were Snow White, Fox in Bogdan Pawłowski’s ballet for children Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (chor. Jurijus Smoriginas, 1998), the Bride in Blood Wedding to the music by Astor Piazzolla (chor. Jurijus Smoriginas, 2008), Auksė, Baroness, Stranger in In the Shadow of the Altars (chor. Aurelijus Liškauskas, 2014), Cow-mama in the dance performance for children Where the Wild Things Are (chor. Donatas Bakėjus, 2016), Giselle in the dance performance Giselle after Adolphe Adam’s eponymous ballet (chor. Donatas Bakėjus and Mantas Černeckas, 2017), and Marina in Theodorakis’ ballet Zorba the Greek (chor. Lorca Massine, 2018). With the KSMT she toured in Liepaja (Latvia), Bucharest (Romania), Karlskrona and Malmö (Sweden), Kherson (Ukraine), and Minsk (Belarus). In collaboration with fellow ballet dancer and choreographer Taurūnas Baužas, she created roles in his dance performances October Silence (2014) and In the Beginning There Was Kafka (2015). In 2019, at the gala concert of the “Benois de la danse” competition at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, she performed an extract (Liza’s monologue) from Anželika Cholina’s dance performance The Queen of Spades and the entire role of Liza in this production subsequently.
While at the Klaipėda SMT, she also taught children classical dance at the CODA Dance School (2013–7) and Beata Molytė Ballet School (2017–9). Since 2019, she has been a ballet soloist with the Kaunas State Music Theatre and ballet teacher at Nerijus Juška Ballet School. Among the roles created at the Kaunas State Music Theatre are: the Witch in Verdi’s opera Macbeth (chor. Aleksandras Jankauskas, 2019), Spring in the ballet for children The Snow Queen (chor. Aleksandras Jankauskas, 2021), Bianca in Anatolijus Šenderovas’ ballet Desdemona (chor. Anželika Cholina, 2023). In 2020, she joined the cast of the art therapy performance NenuGALĖTIeji (dir. Aušra Žukaitė, chor. Gintaras Visockis).
