The opera invites audiences into an existential space where time, memory, and the inner polarities of the human being are revealed through the characters of two women—the White Woman and the Black Woman—and a Man. Sand becomes a metaphor for transformation, fragility, and eternal flow, while the chaconne form symbolizes recurring movement and unavoidable cyclicality. The participation of children and young performers plays a special role on stage, creating a multilayered dialogue between generations and experiences.
The principal roles are performed by:
- White Woman – Rita Petrauskaitė
- Black Woman – Ernesta Stankutė
- Man – Gytis Šimelionis
Students of the Klaipėda Children’s Opera Studio and the Ballet and Contemporary Dance Studio Baleto erdvė also appear on stage, enriching the narrative with movement, choral elements, and plastic scenes.
