SONGS OF WAR AND PEACE

This concert programme focuses on the theme of war and peace, which is as relevant today, in view of an ongoing war in Ukraine, as it was for different peoples through the ages. It features works for voices, choir and symphony orchestra by composers from different periods and countries but particularly from Ukraine and Lithuania.

This concert programme focuses on the theme of war and peace, which is as relevant today, in view of an ongoing war in Ukraine, as it was for different peoples through the ages. It features works for voices, choir and symphony orchestra by composers from different periods and countries but particularly from Ukraine and Lithuania. In this programme, the resident collectives and artists of the Klaipėda State Music Theatre – the symphony orchestra and mixed choir under the baton of its Chief Conductor and music director of this programme, Tomas Ambrozaitis, and soloists – will be joined by guests from the Kyiv National Academic Theatre of Operetta (Ukraine) – soloists Olena Arbuzova, Valeriia Tulis and women’s group of the choir under the baton of the theatre’s chief conductor, Sergiy Didok.
