Interior of the Klaipėda State Musical Theatre
The interior of the Klaipėda State Musical Theatre was designed by architect and designer Marius Mateika, who leads the architectural studio “MAMA architects.” This project received international recognition – the interior of the Klaipėda State Musical Theatre was awarded the Gold Prize at the prestigious A’ Design Award & Competition. Additionally, the “MAMA architects” team was nominated in the World Architecture Festival (WAF), which is often referred to as the “Oscars” of architecture.

“Sea” Hall
The “Sea” Hall of the Klaipėda State Musical Theatre is an impressive, modern, and spacious main auditorium with 585 seats. Its design blends coastal landscape-inspired architecture, music, and light. The interior was created to evoke the sensation of sea waves – undulating clay walls, soft colors, and playful lighting combine to create an immersive atmosphere that enhances the audience’s experience during performances.


“Lagoon” Hall
The “Lagoon” Hall of the Klaipėda State Musical Theatre is a cozy, multifunctional space designed not only for chamber concerts or performances, but also for conferences, creative workshops, discussions, and educational events. With a capacity of around 164 seats, it is perfectly suited for events where intimacy, acoustics, and attention to detail are essential.
