Renata Dubinskaitė (mezzo‑soprano)

Renata Dubinskaitė is a mezzo-soprano and Doctor of Humanities in art history and theory, who turned to a professional career in music after completing her academic studies. In 2015, she graduated in opera singing from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, and continues to refine her vocal artistry through private studies with Fernando Cordeira Opa in Bologna.

She specializes in Baroque and early music repertoire, having deepened her expertise in numerous masterclasses with distinguished artists and pedagogues such as Maria Cristina Kiehr, Vincent Dumestre, Rodrigo del Pozo, Jan van Elsacker, Barbara Bonney, Paul Esswood, Julie Hassler, among others.

In September 2021, her solo album Barbara Strozzi. La voce sola was released by “Brilliant Classics” and received wide international acclaim. Critics have highlighted her exceptionally pure voice, expressive depth, and remarkable interpretative sensitivity, allowing her to convey the emotional richness of early music with great authenticity.

Renata Dubinskaitė has performed a wide range of roles in Baroque opera, including a nymph in Luigi Rossi’s Il Palazzo Incantato (with Cappella Mediterranea, conducted by Leonardo García Alarcón, in Dijon, Nancy, and Versailles), Circe in Alessandro Stradella’s La Circe (with Canto Fiorito, Vilnius), Clorinda in Claudio Monteverdi’s Il combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda (conducted by Rodolfo Richter, Curitiba, Brazil), Cesonia in Giovanni Maria Pagliardi’s Caligula (with Le Poème Harmonique, conducted by Vincent Dumestre), Elpina in Antonio Vivaldi’s La fida ninfa, and Holofernes in the staged version of Vivaldi’s oratorio Juditha Triumphans, among others.

She is the artistic director and performer of the ensemble Duo Barocco (Vilnius), the principal soloist of the early music ensemble Canto Fiorito, and an alto singer in the Chamber Choir of Namur (Belgium). Her concert appearances include major festivals such as Stockholm Early Music Festival, Brighton Early Music Festival, Namur Music Festival, Musiq’3 Festival (Brussels), Glasperlenspiel Festival (Tallinn), Jeunesse Festival (Vienna), Riga Bach Chamber Music Festival, and NoMeMus Festival (Sweden), among many others.

In addition to her performing career, Renata Dubinskaitė is also active as a producer, working with the early music ensemble Canto Fiorito and the International Kretinga Early Music Festival.
