Opera Europa Next Generation Project
OperaVision is a free streaming platform for opera performances, supported by the European Union’s Creative Europe programme.
It is an online opera house and a gateway to the diverse world of music theatre for today’s audiences. Here, viewers can watch live performances from theatres across Europe and enjoy recordings for several months afterwards. All streams, including opera, operetta, musicals, dance, ballet, and concerts, are available free of charge. OperaVision presents new broadcasts every week, creating a balanced online season featuring beloved productions, world premieres, and exciting new discoveries. OperaVision invites audiences to explore the richness and diversity of European theatres online.
OperaVision also plays an important role as a digital stage for emerging artists. Supported by the European Union’s Creative Europe programme, it runs the Opera Europa Next Generation initiative. This training and visibility programme for young opera and dance artists will provide more than 560 emerging talents with opportunities to be seen and supported between 2025 and 2028. The programme is delivered by Opera Europa in partnership with 44 opera companies from 17 European countries. Through OperaVision, audiences can watch performances by the next generation of artists, masterclasses, singing competitions, and concerts. This additional content highlights the contribution of young performers to each production.
In 2019, the Klaipėda State Music Theatre (KVMT) joined the Opera Europa association, and since 2021 our productions have been streamed on the OperaVision platform. This year, our young ballet dancers, together with emerging choreographer Daria Verovka, also have the opportunity to participate in the Next Generation programme.
Since 2014, OperaVision has been the leading free opera streaming platform, bringing together a global community of viewers.
Opera has never been closer.
