Alessandro Casà – Biography
Born in 1996 in Agrigento, Italy, Alessandro Casà began his dance training at the age of six. His early passion and dedication led him to join the Giovani Danzatori del Teatro Massimo di Palermo in 2011. A year later, he continued his studies at the prestigious Rome Opera House Ballet School under the direction of Laura Comi.
In 2017, Alessandro graduated with honors and immediately joined the Rome Opera Ballet Company, led by Eleonora Abbagnato. During his time there, he performed in renowned productions including Bart’s Sleeping Beauty, MacMillan’s L’Histoire de Manon, Laurent Hilaire’s Don Quixote, Coralli and Perrot’s Giselle (revived by Patricia Ruanne), Roland Petit’s Pink Floyd Ballet, Giuliano Peparini’s Romeo and Juliet, and Forsythe’s Artifact Suite.
In 2018, Alessandro expanded his repertoire into neoclassical and contemporary works, dancing soloist roles in Kylián’s Petit Mort and Inger’s Walking Mad. The following year, he was cast by Luciano Cannito in the lead role of Escamillo in Carmen.
Since February 2019, Alessandro has been a member of the Teatro Massimo Ballet Company in Palermo, where he has performed both solo and principal roles in a wide range of productions, including:
