Maria Kastorina
Biography
In 2006, Maria Kastorina enrolled in the Ballet Department of the National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Arts. From 2010, she continued her studies at the A. J. Vaganova Russian Ballet Academy under the guidance of teachers T. K. Ulitina, T. V. Solomianko, V. S. Desnickij, M. A. Vasiljeva, and N. M. Tsiskaridze. In 2015, she completed an internship at the International Ballet School in Brussels. In 2016, she graduated from the A. J. Vaganova Russian Ballet Academy and joined the Leonid Yacobson State Academic Ballet Theatre in Saint Petersburg.
While dancing with this company, she performed in productions such as The Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Paquita, and Chopiniana. She toured in France, Germany, Switzerland, and China.
Since 2017, she has been a member of the ballet company of the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre (LNOBT). In 2018, for her role as Marie in Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker, she was named “Ballet Hope of the Year.”
